Subject [jira] [Commented] (IMAP-64) OPTIMISE fetch command
Date Tue, 14 Jun 2011 20:40:47 GMT

Wojtek Strzalka commented on IMAP-64:

True. It fetches entire message regardless it's needed or not.
At the moment problem is in StoreMessageManager::getMessages() method that doesn't really
pass fetchGroup param to the store, forcing it to return entire message :(
IMHO it should be store responsibility to return only requested data part if possible.

> OPTIMISE fetch command
> ----------------------
> Key: IMAP-64
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMAP-64
> Project: JAMES Imap
> Issue Type: Task
> Reporter: Robert Burrell Donkin
> Assignee: Robert Burrell Donkin
> ATM fetch retrieves and parses the full contents of every message whether this data is
needed or not. This is very slow.
