Subject [jira] [Commented] (LOG4J2-1612) log4j.dtd is invalid
Date Mon, 26 Sep 2016 20:00:21 GMT

Kip commented on LOG4J2-1612:

Hmm... I just tried a clean build in Eclipse and it is working now so I'm not sure what happened.
The error in Eclipse had something to do with that DTD URL. If I open the dtd URL in my browser
(Chrome), it says:

error on line 27 at column 2: StartTag: invalid element name

So I thought maybe something was wrong with the DTD. But seems to be working now so it must
have been something on my end. Sorry about that.

> log4j.dtd is invalid
> --------------------
> Key: LOG4J2-1612
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-1612
> Project: Log4j 2
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Kip
> In the last few weeks, the following file has started to throw validation errors: http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/xml/doc-files/log4j.dtd
> I know this is a log4j 1.2 file, but somehow it changed recently so can it be changed
back? It shows up as a red X in my Eclipse project now, when it worked fine for years.
