The requirement is to use relative path but the
absolute path also doesn't work.

I gave -Dlog4j.configuration=/home/myhome/tmp/log.xml

and it outputed the following lines
--------------
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger
(TestLogger).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly
