Subject [jira] [Commented] (SOLR-4196) Untangle XML-specific nature of Config and Container classes
Date Thu, 20 Dec 2012 14:49:14 GMT

Erick Erickson commented on SOLR-4196:

I think this approach is close enough to what I'm doing for a first approximation. I should
have some code for all to examine (with the non-XML-based properties stuff stubbed out) pretty
soon and we can see if we're all aligned or not.

of the specific XML processing out of Config and Container. Currently, we refer to xpaths
all over the place. This JIRA is about providing a thunking layer to isolate the XML-esque
nature of solr.xml and allow a simple properties file to be used instead which will lead,
eventually, to solr.xml going away.
