U tried 2 examples:

curl -id 'expr=search(collections_test, q="*:*",fl=id,name,inStock, sort="id asc")' http://localhost:8983/solr/collections_test/stream

curl http://localhost:8983/solr/collections_test/stream -d 'expr=reduce(search(collections_test,
q="*:*",fl=id,name,inStock, sort="id asc") , by="id",group(sord="id asc",n="2"))'

It appears that you are not formatting the streaming expression properly.
Can you post your entire http request?
