Date Mon, 19 Mar 2012 23:12:02 GMT
Shaun created MASSEMBLY-602:

Summary: Multiple Assemblies Causes Infinite Loop\Recursion
                 Key: MASSEMBLY-602
             Project: Maven 2.x Assembly Plugin
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 2.3, 2.2.2, 2.2.1, 2.2, 2.2-beta-5, 2.2-beta-3
         Environment: Apache Maven 3.0.3 (r1075438; 2011-02-28 09:31:09-0800) Java version:
1.6.0_29, vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: Cp1252 OS
name: "windows 7", version: "6.1", arch: "x86", family: "windows" [also, maven 2]
            Reporter: Shaun

I have a custom assembly.xml on a project that also has a parent pom. In the parent pom,
we specify: <appendAssemblyId>true</appendAssemblyId> As the default assembly
(jar-with-dependencies-and-sources) is fine for 99% of our projects, however, in this instance,
I need the custom assembly. However, the parent pom dicates: <appendAssemblyId>false</appendAssemblyId>
