Subject [GitHub] incubator-metron issue #517: METRON-831: Add lambda expressions and rudiment...
Date Sat, 08 Apr 2017 13:40:59 GMT
Github user cestella commented on the issue:
    @ottobackwards Thanks for the +1 and yeah, I definitely hear the concern. I wanted a
rudimentary set of functional primitives, but there should be a follow-up to correct some
issues with them around capability, such as supporting more complex data structures than lists
(i.e. supporting `MAP({ 'key' : 'value', 'key2' : 'value2' }, (k,v) -> JOIN([k, v], ':'))`
should be `['key:value', 'key2:value2'])`). In that case, it wouldn't assume a single argument.
    Oh, also, we do actually validate before a zookeeper push all stellar statements. It will
fail if you botch the stellar. I'm looking forward to a proper UI around stellar, though,
for sure. :)
