Subject [jira] [Created] (SSHD-164) Allow the buffer size for the IO pumps to be configurable in InvertedShellWrapper
Date Sat, 05 May 2012 04:02:09 GMT
Pierre created SSHD-164:
---------------------------

Summary: Allow the buffer size for the IO pumps to be configurable in InvertedShellWrapper
                 Key: SSHD-164
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SSHD-164
             Project: MINA SSHD
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 0.6.0
            Reporter: Pierre
            Priority: Minor

InvertedShellWrapper uses by default a buffer of 512 bytes to copy the input/output/error
streams from the shell to the socket. For some applications, this is way too low, as for example,
copying 1MB from the process output to the socket is going to require 2048 loop iterations
in the IO pump thread, and introduce a 2s of latency because of the 1ms sleep at the end of
each loop iteration.

Instead the buffer size should be configurable by the command factory.
