delegating such errors to a listener would be beneficial in general, yes.
I don't see an appropriate (server level) listener though so it probably would need to be
created as well.

But before closing down entirely on those errors, I'd like to test the accept recovery you
implemented first. 
In case this is just a temporary glitch in nio, your patch would presumably work well and
resolve it transparently.
