Hi Carl,

I am not familiar with the OrcStruct but it might help on the MRUnit side.
What do you want to test, only that write() is never called with a
OrcStruct instance?
MRUnit should not capture the exception and your test should fail. Isn't it
the case?

The first question seems unrelated to the use of OrcNewInputFormat... But
if it doesn't work, at worst case, you could instantiate your object in
plain java.
