I hesitate adding the .zip file because (a) it hides the intention of the change and (b) other
developers who might have already modified their copies would have difficulty merging my change.

I believe the GNU patch tool will apply my suggested change automatically, provided that one
resides in the right working directory and, possibly, applies the -pX option where X is the
number of upper level directory names to ignore in the patch.
