Subject [jira] [Commented] (NUTCH-1233) Rely on Tika for outlink extraction
Date Thu, 05 Jul 2012 09:33:35 GMT

Markus Jelsma commented on NUTCH-1233:

Any comments on this to share? All tests pass and it works fine maybe except for whitespace
not being collapsed. To give a proper example:

<a href="test.html">
            actual anchor text here                      </a>

whitespace in this anchor is not collapsed. The question is, should this be solved in Tika
or should we?

There's a patch for Tika 1.1. If that patch is included in Tika and we upgraded to that new
version this issue can be worked on. Here's preliminary code that does both Tika and current
outlink extraction. This also includes parts of the Boilerpipe code.
