Dafydd James commented on NUTCH-1745:
-------------------------------------

Hello [~jnioche], perhaps you could help me - I'm looking to ensure this patch is integrated
into the current version of my nutch source code. I am using {{apache-nutch-2.2.1-src.tar.gz}}
which doesn't seem to line up with the versions used in this issue ("1.8", "1.9"). Nor does
my codebase contain all of the files listed in your patch (e.g. {{src/plugin/indexer-elastic/ivy.xml}}).
Please can you help me figure out what's going on so that I can use nutch-2.2.1 with elasticsearch-1.1.1
(the latest version of both applications at the time of writing)?

> ElasticSearch is currently at version 1.1.0. The patch attached upgrades the dependencies,
fixes a couple of changes required by 1.1.0 and also :
> * removes the need for having ES in the main ivy dependency - it is now only required
at the plugin level
> * improves the logic around using the cluster name or an explicit host:port to connect
to ES : the clustername is not required nor set when using host:port
> * uses a more sensible default value for the port
