Sebastian Nagel commented on NUTCH-2827:
----------------------------------------

Great! Yes, it's better to keep the history. The old CMS holds 420 MB of data which shouldn't
be an issue nowadays. Almost 400 MB of the content are the API docs (javadoc) of 24 released
versions. I think it would be enough to keep only the two recent versions and point users
to the release archives for older versions - the bin packages include the API docs.

> Migrate site repository
> -----------------------
>
> Key: NUTCH-2827
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUTCH-2827
> Project: Nutch
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Reporter: Sebastian Nagel
> Priority: Major
>
> The new site repository is created (https://github.com/apache/nutch-site resp. https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf?p=nutch-site.git)
and needs to be filled with content from the old SVN repository (https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/nutch/cms_site).
> To be decided:
> - keep commit history (in doubt: yes)
> - if not: skip content not required for new site (eg. Java docs of older Nutch versions)
