Subject [jira] Commented: (ODE-325) WSDL endpoints should be rewritten
Date Mon, 07 Jul 2008 15:23:31 GMT

Josef Spillner commented on ODE-325:

Well, if both the BPEL and the WSDL file are deployed into
Tomcat's //webapps/ode/WEB-INF/processes/<processname>, and Tomcat runs on
$host:$port, then one valid URL would obviously be $host:
$port/ode/processes/<processname>. After all, ODE already enforces
this scheme, so there is no point in not doing it automatically. Why does ODE
care about the endpoint at all? If it wouldn't care, then this issue wouldn't
be an issue at all, but since it does care, it shouldn't punish the user and
ask him or her to change all endpoints in the WSDL files to URLs which ODE
already knows because it offers the endpoint.

> ODE currently expects the endpoint (soap:address) in the WSDL files corresponding to
BPEL files to be of the format http://host:port/ode/<process>.
> This could generate a warning, but generating an error is very bad, since ODE could easily
rewrite the soap:address in such cases. There should be no need for the user to perform this
