Subject [jira] Commented: (ODE-376) Derby truncation error when dealing with large messages
Date Tue, 23 Sep 2008 15:13:44 GMT

Matthieu Riou commented on ODE-376:
-----------------------------------

The easiest would probably be to connect to the Derby database embedded with ODE and do an
alter on that column to change it to a larger blob size. We use Derby in embedded mode so
you would have to stop your server and connect with the Derby tools.

Alternatively you could set a larger blob size in the JPA mapping abd build with that.

> As part of my process I call a search web service which returns a large response message.
I want to do a transform on this message in order to call a different web service, but running
my process results in an error. It seems like the message is too large for the embedded Derby
database to handle. I would like to know if this truncation error can be avoided, or if the
only option is to use a different database.
