Thanks for your patient and detailed reply,Dennis.

You are right.OPTIONAL was replaced by preprocessor.
cl /P yields module.i
OPTIONAL was disappeard in module.i
But i have not found where is #define OPTIONAL .
I will search again tomorrow.
