Subject [jira] [Updated] (PHOENIX-1276) Analyze <table> command does not recalculate stats
Date Tue, 23 Sep 2014 07:06:33 GMT

]

ramkrishna.s.vasudevan updated PHOENIX-1276:
--------------------------------------------
    Attachment: Phoenix-1276.patch

Updating the existing test case. In the existing one was ensuring that as we add new data
all the new data was there in the guideposts as the guidepostdepth is very small (collecting
all kvs).
Now ensure that after every new data is inserted we clear the older one. This will ensure
that the guideposts are always having the newer ones.
No change in the source code. This verifies the behaviour that the stats are getting updated.
I will test once in the server.

> _Analyze <table>_ command does not recalculate stats unless I remove rows from
SYSTEM.STATS table manually.
> This was observed when I changed _phoenix.guidepost.width_ property and restarted region
servers however when I ran _analyze <table>_ stats remained the same unless I cleaned
this table and then stats got updated by running _analyze <table>_
