Subject [jira] Commented: (QPID-786) Failover timeout prevents client failover
Date Thu, 02 Apr 2009 08:42:13 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-786?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12694914#action_12694914

Marnie McCormack commented on QPID-786:

Test for this needs to be included as is currently in excluded list, timeout to be configurable
for testing purposes (or make value protected and subclass for testing). *Think* connection
policy values should be multiplied together to arrive at actual failover timeout time - but
this is not the effect as the timer is not reset correctly either.

Any fix to be thoroughly tested - any manual test of original fix would have shown this issue
up immediately.

> If failover takes more than approximately 4 minutes to complete, it times out even if
the maximum number of retries haven't been reached. This shouldn't happen.
