The problem with performance testing and metrics is the difficulty of comparing results across
machines. That being said, it is true that a set of tests which will allow changes to be seen
as run on a particular machine for various versions or builds would be helpful. It may be
also helpful to store the results in a simple text file which records the date, time, version
and build info, and the test results on a simple append basis.
