In testing this, I don't see the above actually fixing the problem. I applied the patch and,
instead of returning the current capacity or available message count, nothing at all is being
printed.

However, the problem does not exist at all when using the qpid::messaging Perl code that sits
on top of the swig-generated binding. Can you verify that this problem still exists in the
current release (0.24)?
