Subject [jira] [Commented] (DISPATCH-31) Valgrind reports memory leaks due to stubbed destructors
Date Wed, 21 May 2014 18:41:46 GMT

Ted Ross commented on DISPATCH-31:

I've made good progress on this by filling out missing destructors, etc. There is one looming
issue however:

Embedded Python leaks memory. Apparently this is a well-documented phenomenon and the Python
community has declined to address it. This makes me think that embedding Python may not be
that good of an idea after all.

> Project: Qpid Dispatch
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Container
> Affects Versions: 0.2

> There are numerous allocated data structures that are not freed on shutdown which are
getting flagged by Valgrind. These may be masking real run-time memory leaks and should be
cleaned up.
