Also, trunk INSTALL says to use

cmake  -DCMAKE_CXX_FLAGS=-std=c++ ..
{code}

which results in:

$ make
[  0%] Building CXX object src/CMakeFiles/qpidtypes.dir/qpid/types/Exception.cpp.o
error: invalid value 'c++' in '-std=c++'
{code}

instead, use 
{code}
cmake  -DCMAKE_CXX_FLAGS=-std=c++11 ..
{code}
