Subject [jira] [Commented] (QPID-7211) [Java Broker, WMC] Do not transfer inherited context variables
Date Wed, 27 Apr 2016 09:49:12 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-7211?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15259892#comment-15259892

Lorenz Quack commented on QPID-7211:

To not break backwards compatibility we should not change the current behaviour of the broker
but instead we should add a new flag (e.g. "excludeInheritedContext") and make changes to
the WMC to make use of that flag where appropriate.
The behaviour change on the broker can be considered for v7

> [Java Broker, WMC] Do not transfer inherited context variables
> --------------------------------------------------------------
> Key: QPID-7211
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-7211
> Project: Qpid
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Java Broker
> Reporter: Lorenz Quack
> Fix For: qpid-java-6.0.3, qpid-java-6.1
> currently for all configured objects we transfer the complete inherited context.
> We should only send the values that have been set on the object.
> Of course, there must remain a way to get the inherited context as well.
> For compatibility we transmit effective values but in the future (v7?) we want to send
actual values.
