Subject [jira] [Created] (PROTON-2166) the README for Python examples might be misleading
Date Fri, 10 Jan 2020 10:27:00 GMT
Frank created PROTON-2166:
-----------------------------

Summary: the README for Python examples might be misleading
                 Key: PROTON-2166
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-2166
             Project: Qpid Proton
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: examples, proton-c
    Affects Versions: proton-c-0.30.0
            Reporter: Frank

The wording of the required broker setup to run the examples is a bit misleading.

TheĀ {{qpid-proton/python/examples/README.txt}} states that the examples requires a broker
accepting links to and from a node named 'examples'.

??Most (though not all) of the current examples require a broker or similar intermediary that
supports the AMQP 1.0 protocol, allows anonymous connections and accepts links to and from
a node named 'examples'.??

If for example someone setup Qpid Broker-J and create a {{virtualhostnode}} 'examples' the
examples don't run. Rather a queue with the name 'examples' is required.
