if you comment out the failing assert, the server will start and another message will be sent
to the same address.
the second message (ofcourse) gets delivered to the server. but the first message remains
in the no-mans-land

it's not sent. it's still pending.

So I guess the real question is, what does messenger do with the message one. drop it to the
