Subject [jira] [Commented] (ROL-1964) SearchServlet does not preserve locale
Date Thu, 25 Jul 2013 11:29:49 GMT

Maciej Rumianowski commented on ROL-1964:

The problem is that if you enable multiple languages on a blog and access page with different
locale ex. http://localhost/roller/test/de common words like "Search" are translated to "Suche",
but on the search page they are not.
To Sum up, on page http://localhost/roller/test/de/search?q=test:

Text shown: "You searched this site for "test". 0 entries found."
Expected: "Sie durchsuchten diese Site nach der "test". 0 Eintr├Ąge gefunden."

Also: $model.locale is null
Expected: $model.locale should be "de"

I am testing on 5.0.1 and trunk.

About the with two URLs:
In Roller 5 I see that there are also two valid URLs and localised Search page returns bad
links :(
Doing localised search returns posts in all Languages and post in German gets link with en
locale, but this link is invalid.

So I think the case with SearchServlet needs more thinking and improvements. I will propose
something later.

How can I reach dev mailing list? I subscribed and sent message to,
but Can't see it on
