Yan,
These are teething issues. I am quite stoked with the possibilities Samza
brings to table. I really appreciate all the hand holding till now.

1. I am using the master branch -
https://github.com/apache/incubator-samza-hello-samza

this is whats present on .git/config

[core]

        repositoryformatversion = 0

        filemode = true

        bare = false

        logallrefupdates = true

[remote "origin"]

        fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*

        url = https://github.com/apache/incubator-samza-hello-samza.git

[branch "master"]

        remote = origin

        merge = refs/heads/master

2. Yes. I do see messages in Kafka - I run

$ deploy/kafka/bin/kafka-console-consumer.sh  --zookeeper localhost:2181
--topic wikipedia-raw

SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".

SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation

details.

3. Will give you a feedback soon. Trying it now.
