Thanks [~srowen]! That's helpful! I searched on Google and found some discussion in scikit-learn:

2. https://github.com/scikit-learn/scikit-learn/issues/2872

They didn't accept the patch for couple reasons: a) relevance, b) integration with other components.

[~jackylk] Could you comment on the real use cases that you are aware of and the complexity
of the algorithm?
