I propose we use Kite to write directly to HBase. That would allow us to reuse the configuration
formats that Kite has defined for building keys from records and mapping record fields into
the table structure HBase uses. Kite is also working on a common HBase table encoding (not
yet released) that would ensure the tables written by Sqoop can be used by other services,
like Impala or Phoenix.
