Subject RE: Sqoop Import Error from Mainframe DB2
Date Fri, 25 Jul 2014 16:47:23 GMT
Gwen,

Thanks for the quick response.

Finally, I got this working.

Issues:
1) My password was expired. So, password is reset.
2) License was required. So, I copied db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar to Sqoop directory.

Regards,
Venkat

Two more things:

1. You can use either db2jcc.jar or db2jcc4.jar, but make sure you only have one of them in
the lib directory.

2. You MUST specify "type 4" URI (jdbc:db2://server:port/database). If you specify a Type-2
URL like jdbc:db2:database, the driver will try to look for the native libraries, which don't
exist on the cluster.
