Subject RES: Taglib 'struts'
Date Fri, 15 Feb 2002 12:23:18 GMT
OK, it's truth.
Look:
In struts.tld exists tags defined like this:
<tag>
    <name>button</name>
    <tagclass>org.apache.struts.taglib.ButtonTag</tagclass>
    <attribute>
      <name>accessKey</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    <attribute>
      <name>onBlur</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    <attribute>
      <name>onChange</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    ......
    ......
  </tag>

And in struts-html.tld exists tags defined like this:

<tag>
    <name>button</name>
    <tagclass>org.apache.struts.taglib.html.ButtonTag</tagclass>
    <attribute>
      <name>accesskey</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    <attribute>
      <name>disabled</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    <attribute>
      <name>onblur</name>
      <required>false</required>
      <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
    </attribute>
    ......
    ......
</tag>

What's the diference between them?

thanks in advance.

<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-html.tld" prefix="html" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-html.tld" prefix="struts-html" %>

It's the prefix specified in the taglib definition. I guess people who use
lots
of tags prefix the struts tags with struts-. People who only use struts
leave
it off.
Not sure but I think > <struts:button ...> tends to be an older style.
