Subject form-bean question
Date Mon, 08 Apr 2002 09:40:36 GMT
Hi

I'm currently using the DynamicForm features of struts. I just want to
know if it is possible to
nest a 'form-bean' as a property of another 'form-bean'.

Example:

<form-bean name="subjectForm"
           type="org.apache.struts.validator.DynaValidatorForm"
           dynamic="true">

  <form-property name="subjectId"   type="java.lang.int"/>
  <form-property name="description" type="java.lang.String"/>
</form-bean>

<form-bean name="courseForm"
           type="org.apache.struts.validator.DynaValidatorForm"
           dynamic="true">

  <form-property name="name"        type="java.lang.String"/>
  <form-property name="description" type="java.lang.String"/>
  <form-property name="subject"     type="XXXXX"/>

  <form-property name="password"    type="java.lang.String"/>
</form-bean>

I want to specify that the 'subjectForm' is a nested property (subjectList)
of the 'courseForm'. How can I accomplish that? I know it is a simple
thing if you implement the ActionForm in Java, but I want to define it in
the struts config.

Thank you in advance
Manie Coetzee
