Subject RE: What means Beta Status in Jakarta Projekts?
Date Mon, 15 Jul 2002 13:44:36 GMT

We are using 1.1b as it has worked fine through the development process.

Pretty much the attitude here is that if something is wrong with Struts
we get to go and fix the source code. This is something that can't be
done with a commercial package (not open sourced). If its busted your
screwed. With this stuff, you can always spend an hour tracking down
the bug and fixing it (although I have yet to find one).

Subject: What means Beta Status in Jakarta Projekts?

Hi

We have to decide wheter we are going to use struts 1.1b1 or 1.02. Since
struts 1.1 has some new cool features, we would like to use it. But it
is
"only" a beta version. So, what are the risks of using sturts 1.1b1?

Thanks

Roland
