Woohoo!!! 

But you'll have to forgive my ignorance, but any chance of a more ostensive
answer, like an example for example..

So something like 

DataSource ds = getDatasource("mykey");

(MyBEan).doSomething(ds, and other args);

Is this along the right lines?
