that's no matter if you write in Your HTML file:

<form name="chooseProfileForm" method="post" 
action="/bendev/chooseProfile.do">

or

<form name="chooseProfileForm" method="POST" 
action="/bendev/chooseProfile.do">

because request.getMethod() returns HTTP method and 
request.getMethod().toString() is always uppercase
