Hi, Sri: Thanks much for responding to my post.

I almost have this but my selected preference is a property of the top
level form.. I essentially have 
       <nested:form action="/empPrefs">

          <nested:nest property="selectedPreference">
                <nest:text property="someattribute" 

>From all I've read this should work. But it doesn't. I get the
exception shown below.. Any help would be much appreciated.
