Yes, that goes some way.  I missed out that I need a case to verify several
test, something like this:

<c:choose>
  <c:when test="${yourVar eq '1'}" test2="${yourVar eq '2'}">
    do this
  </c:when>
  <c:when test="${yourVar eq '3'}" test2="${yourVar eq '4'}">>
    do that
  </c:when>
  <c:otherwise>
    do something else
  </c:otherwise>
<c:choose>
