Subject Re: expression validator
Date Thu, 28 Feb 2008 22:45:37 GMT

Thanks, I confirmed my syntax, and now it does not do any client side
validation. Do I have this validator in the right place? Here is the
relevant code from my xml file:

<!DOCTYPE validators PUBLIC
        "-//OpenSymphony Group//XWork Validator 1.0.2//EN"
        "http://www.opensymphony.com/xwork/xwork-validator-1.0.2.dtd">

<validators>
 	<field name="password">
        <field-validator type="requiredstring">
            <message key="requiredstring"/>
        </field-validator>
    </field>
	<field name="password2">
        <field-validator type="requiredstring">
            <message key="requiredstring"/>
        </field-validator>
    </field>

	<validator type="expression">
			  password2.equals(password)
			  <message>Password not the same as Confirmed</message>
	</validator>

</validators>

>From the validator documentation.

  <validator type="expression">
      email.equals(email2)
      <message>Email not the same as email2</message>
  </validator>
