Hi cpanon,
what i meant is to do real refresh of the page,
just like the one when You hit F5 button or click "Refresh" on your browser.
Try this:
1. load the page
2. do some of that ajax stuff
3. hit F5
is the result like You have expected?

After all not using ajax at all may be best solution in your case.
