I believe that David uses Visual C++ 6 as that is what is used to compile the official apache
releases (or it was when I last looked into trying to compile them myself).

There are a ton of differences from VC++6 to VS2008+ (I've been porting other code between
the two).

Have a look at collabnet or wandisco, I'm sure I read one of them uses VS2010.
