Subject Bug Report: Subversion 1.7 segfaults when using gnome-keyring authentication (Linux x64)
Date Sat, 25 Apr 2015 15:36:15 GMT

I need to use SVN 1.7 on my Archlinux x64 which provides SVN 1.8 by
default, so I've built it from sources of the release 1.7.20 (thanks to
AUR). I also used an existing binary package of release 1.7.19 provided by
CollabNet (this one:

Both binaries crash the very same way, apparently when attempting to
retrieve authentication data from Gnome Keyring. Those data were previously
stored by a software using SVNKit 1.7.x and are present in
~/.subversion/auth/svn.simple (PHPStorm to be precise), with which they
work perfectly well. Using SVN 1.8 in command-line works also without

The problems occurs when using HTTPS or SVN protocols, when executing
commands on a remote server (svn checkout) or into a local copy (svn info,
svn update).
Commands not using gnome-keyring authentication data work flawlessly.

Linux leto 3.19.3-3-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 8 14:10:00 CEST 2015 x86_64
Gnome Keyring packages:

   - extra/gnome-keyring 3.16.0-1
   - extra/libgnome-keyring 3.12.0-2

You'll find the output of a "svn info https://svn-server/project" command
attached, and another one using strace.

Feel free to contact me if you need more information. Of course this bug is
really critical to me, but this is a deduction you could have made by
yourself :)
