Subject [jira] Commented: (TAPESTRY-177) Consistency: provide valid versions of PropertySelection and DatePicker

Jay Drummond commented on TAPESTRY-177:

DatePicker definitely needs a validator.

DatePicker is an enhancement to input of type Text. The user may type any value that they
want into the text field. It needs to be validated so the user can be told that they typed
something in wrong as opposed to a missing value.

> For PropertySelection, it may not need an validator, but just a "required"
> parameter, that when set to true will force the user to choose an option that
> has a non-empty value. This is to support case (2) described in #29228
> For DatePicker, the user may want to write a validator that verifiy that the
> date is in a certain range, or is not a holiday, or something like that.
