Subject [jira] Commented: (TAPESTRY-2701) BeanDisplay formatting can be off in IE7 with short values
Date Thu, 02 Oct 2008 12:59:44 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-2701?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12636359#action_12636359

Geoff Callender commented on TAPESTRY-2701:

BeanDisplay outputs this particular dt and dd with class="id". Maybe that class has special
meaning for IE7?

Here's the output of the problem line:

	<dt class="id">Id</dt><dd class="id">1</dd>

Here is that same line in context:

	<dl class="t-beandisplay"><dt class="id">Id</dt><dd class="id">1</dd><dt
class="version">Version</dt><dd class="version">1</dd><dt class="firstName">First
Name</dt><dd class="firstName">Humpty</dd><dt class="lastName">Last
Name</dt><dd class="lastName">Dumpty</dd><dt class="startDate">Start
Date</dt><dd class="startDate">Dec 5, 2007</dd></dl><br>

And here it is with my line feeds added to make it easier to read.

	<dl class="t-beandisplay">
		<dt class="id">Id</dt><dd class="id">1</dd>
		<dt class="version">Version</dt><dd class="version">1</dd>
		<dt class="firstName">First Name</dt><dd class="firstName">Humpty</dd>
		<dt class="lastName">Last Name</dt><dd class="lastName">Dumpty</dd>
		<dt class="startDate">Start Date</dt>
		<dd class="startDate">Dec 5, 2007</dd>

The styling used is just the defaults - no additional css etc. has been used.

> I'm seeing strange formatting of BeanDisplay by IE7. An example is the "Id" line of
this page, in which the dd element value is 1:
> I'm guessing IE7 has formatting issues with the dt/dd elements.
