Subject [jira] [Created] (TAP5-2087) Checkboxes in forms always return "on" (considered as "checked" server-side)
Date Mon, 11 Mar 2013 09:59:13 GMT
Julien Blatecky created TAP5-2087:

             Summary: Checkboxes in forms always return "on" (considered as "checked" server-side)
                 Key: TAP5-2087
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAP5-2087
             Project: Tapestry 5
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: tapestry-core
    Affects Versions: 5.4
            Reporter: Julien Blatecky

Checkboxes seem to be always checked, because forms.js, in the gatherParameters method, always
retrieve the value() of a checkbox. In jQuery val() always returns "on" for a checkbox, checked
or not.

I think forms.js should test if the field is a checkbox and if it is checked, if not, return;
on this field, just like it would be on a classic form.
