First, I must state that I am no java expert at all...
There is no system wide CLASSPATH for some reason.
So I search for all directories with .jar files and added most of them:
export CLASSPATH=/usr/share/java:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_07/lib:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_07/jre/lib:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_07/jre/lib/ext:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_07/jre/lib/im:/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_07/jre/lib/security:/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-

With this CLASSPATH, I get in the config.log:

I think I first need to find good java packages; installing the distrib default packages seem
to miss some configuration steps (like set a CLASSPATH)... :/
