Subject cygwin compile error
Date Wed, 08 Feb 2012 16:57:41 GMT
I'm hitting an error when trying to build thrift (0.8 or 0.9-dev) under cygwin (XP). I didn't
have this problem when building on Linux.

libtool: compile:  gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -g -Wall -W -Werror -Isrc -I/usr/include/glib-2.0
-I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -MT libthrift_c_glib_la-thrift_server_socket.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/libthrift_c_glib_la-thrift_server_socket.Tpo
-c src/transport/thrift_server_socket.c  -DDLL_EXPORT -DPIC -o .libs/libthrift_c_glib_la-thrift_server_socket.o
cc1: warnings being treated as errors
src/transport/thrift_server_socket.c: In function 'thrift_server_socket_accept':
src/transport/thrift_server_socket.c:111: error: pointer targets in passing argument 3 of
'accept' differ in signedness
make[4]: *** [libthrift_c_glib_la-thrift_server_socket.lo] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `~/OpenSource/thrift-0.9.0-dev/lib/c_glib'

Configuration was:
export CXXFLAGS="-D PTHREAD_MUTEX_RECURSIVE_NP=PTHREAD_MUTEX_RECURSIVE"
PY_PREFIX=$HOME JAVA_PREFIX=$HOME ./configure --with-c-glib --prefix=$HOME
