Subject [jira] Commented: (TIKA-508) HtmlParser link processing should skip usemap and codebase attributes
Date Thu, 10 Feb 2011 13:33:57 GMT

Jukka Zitting commented on TIKA-508:

I removed "usemap" from the set of resolved attributes in revision 1069385.

I think it's still possible for a "codebase" URL to be relative, in which case it should be
resolved in terms of the base URL. WDYT?

> Key: TIKA-508

> Project: Tika
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: parser
> Affects Versions: 0.7

> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 0.9
> Currently the HtmlParser will try to resolve usemap and codebase attributes in elements.
> usemap is actually not a URI - see http://ln.hixie.ch/?start=1172653243&count=1 for
a lengthy description of why the DTD at http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/REC-xhtml1-20020801/dtds.html#a_dtd_XHTML-1.0-Strict
is incorrect.
> codebase is actually a base URI that's used to resolve other relative URLs for <object>
and <applet> elements.
