Subject build failure in master
Date Wed, 18 Sep 2019 22:34:14 GMT
I am trying to build the master branch from Ubuntu 18.04, but I am getting
the following error:

[ERROR] Tests run: 11, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed:
1.409 s <<< FAILURE! - in org.apache.tika.server.UnpackerResourceTest
[ERROR] testPDFImages(org.apache.tika.server.UnpackerResourceTest) Time
elapsed: 0.366 s <<< FAILURE!
org.junit.ComparisonFailure: expected:<[7c2f14acbb737672a1245f4ceb50622a]>
but was:<[58b8269d1a584b7e8c1adcb936123923]>

[ERROR] Failures:
[ERROR] UnpackerResourceTest.testPDFImages:208
expected:<[7c2f14acbb737672a1245f4ceb50622a]> but
[ERROR] Tests run: 89, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 3

Here are the rough steps I am using:

vagrant init ubuntu/bionic64
// Modify the VagrantFile for: vb.memory = "8192"  & vb.cpus = "2"

sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y python3-pip
sudo apt install -y maven
sudo apt install -y default-jdk
sudo pip3 install tika
git clone https://github.com/apache/tika.git
cd tika
mvn install

vagrant@ubuntu-bionic:~/tika$ javac -version
javac 11.0.4
vagrant@ubuntu-bionic:~/tika$ java -version
openjdk version "11.0.4" 2019-07-16
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 11.0.4+11-post-Ubuntu-1ubuntu218.04.3)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0.4+11-post-Ubuntu-1ubuntu218.04.3,
mixed mode, sharing)

The current README.md suggests "Tika is based on Java 7".

What is the appropriate open jdk version for building tika?
Is there something else I am doing wrong to get tika to build?
