Per your stack trace you are using tika 1.19. Does it happen with the current release, which
is 1.22? I wonder because I tried with the trunk, i.e. I ran tika-app GUI and chose "formatted
text" and this worked. (Update: now that I'm fully waken up, I see that you mentioned you're
using a different XML library)
